GÂTO (like gateau, the French for cake) was founded by dessert lovers Charlotte and Kim,
Charlotte was born in Provence in the South of France and has always been passionate about simple, healthy and natural food. From the name to the recipes, GÂTO is inspired by her French roots. Desperate for scrummy, free-from puds made with natural ingredients, Charlotte studied patisserie at Le Cordon Bleu, and developed her own recipes. Et voilà - GÂTO was born!
Growing up in Scotland, Kim’s mum (a dietitian) taught her to cook and the importance of eating whole ingredients over processed junk. She makes a mean veggie curry but baking a healthier dessert that hits the spot is tricky! When Charlotte shared her first recipes, Kim loved the taste so much that she invested her savings and joined her a year later.
